Red curbs and FIRE LANE — NO PARKING lettering to fire-code spec

Free EstimateSan Mateo & the Peninsula · 7 Days

Fire lanes are required by the fire code, inspected by the fire department, and one of the first things a fire marshal will write up. The curb along the lane has to be painted red, the lettering — FIRE LANE, NO PARKING, sometimes the tow-away code — has to be a certain size and spacing, and it all has to be legible, which faded red paint isn't. We paint fire lane curbs and pavement lettering to the local fire department's standard across San Mateo County, including the stencilled lettering on the curb face or the pavement, and we'll match what your inspector asked for.

Our Process

1

Check the Standard

We confirm the local fire department's spec — lettering size, spacing and placement — and price the run.

2

Prep

The curb is cleaned and any loose old paint removed so the red bonds.

3

Paint

Red curb painted, then the lettering stencilled in white at the required interval.

4

Inspection Ready

Photographed once dry, so you have a record for the inspector.
